Disneyland Diamond Celebration!

Hello fellow Disney Freaks!

I recently visited Disneyland for a few days, giving me the chance to experience all of Disney's Diamond Celebration parades and shows, and let me just say...WOW! I mean, Disneyland has always promised to expand itself but, they keep going beyond expectations. It makes me anticipate the wonders that will come with the 70th, 80th, 90th, and even 100th celebration! It's like there are endless possibilities. But for now, I would say that it is well worth it to spend some time with your family and friends inside Walt's Magical Kingdom this Summer!

While the parks are over-crowded at this time of year and squeezing between strangers can put a small damper on things, stopping by the Resort will still be beyond worth while and here's why:

1. The "Paint the Night Parade"
Now I knew that this was going to be awesome, but on a scale of "entertained" to "in tears"...I was most definitely holding back the water works because the magic was so real! All of my favorite characters truly lit the night like I've never seen before and the new lighting technology (far different from the lights parade of years past) makes intricate light designs that is jaw dropping art in itself. The creativity that comes out of this parade is just so alive! I highly recommend making a point to  see this (best one yet) parade!

2. "Disneyland Forever" Fireworks spectacular
Again, on a scale of "entertained" to "in tears", I had to fight the tear drops watching this one. You know how tinker bell flies around the castle after leaping off the Matterhorn? Well, more characters were added to this flying stunt that you will have to see for yourself. On top of that, new projections are displayed in sync with the music and fireworks down Main Street, on Matterhorn, and even on the Castle itself. You'll have to see it to believe it!

3. "World of Color-Celebrate"
World of Color was already a spectacular show and this new show is just as great! I would highly recommend this show, but personally...on a one day visit I would make the parade and fireworks spectacular priority. New projections on the Ferris wheel and lights distributed throughout the roller coaster in sync with the water show is a magical bonus to the beautiful water spectacular!

4. Enhanced Rides!
Disneyland has patched up a multitude of rides for the 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration, but the best remodeled attraction is Matterhorn! The upgraded ride features a more realistic Yeti, a crashed bobsled, and sounds that make the unknown even more scary and anxious.

Well that's all for today folks!
A happy Summer to those who began break! Until next time!

Matterhorn:The Magic Behind the Mountain

Now there's no doubting that the Matterhorn is a magical mountain that illuminates the nigh sky during the Disneyland fireworks spectacular, and stands tall and magnificent during the day, but do you know the story behind the mountain?

In the late 1950's, Walt Disney had been working on a new film called "Third Man on the Mountain." Filming in Zermatt, Switzerland, Walt Disney felt entranced by the 14,700 ft. mountain and urged his designers to turn a mound of dirt between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland into the mystical snowy mountaintop we know today as the "Matterhorn Bobsleds".

Today, the Matterhorn mountain stands at 147 feet tall (100th the scale of the actual mountain). Inspired by the classic "Third Man on the Mountain" Disney film, the Matterhorn is now one of Disney's most beloved attractions.

Film Fact: The name of the Matterhorn mountain in the 1959 film "Third Man on the Mountain" was called the "Citadel"

Well that's all for tonight folks!

THE BOATHOUSE: New restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort

Hello fellow Disney Freaks!

As some of you may know, multiple changes are being made to Walt Disney World Resort. Hollywood Studios is going under a relatively big change as it looses the famous Sorcerer's hat, making visible the Chinese theater, and Downtown Disney in WDW will also undergo changes to becoming "Disney Springs."
Along with these changes, a new restaurant called THE BOATHOUSE has been imagined and was cast anchor on April 13.

THE BOATHOUSE is a waterfront dining experience located in what will soon be "Disney Springs." While the prices are a bit high, the experience of elegance and class will certainly be displayed when dining boathouse style.

The restaurant has it's very own souvenir shop, bar, dockside bar, live music, and even luxury boat tours.

If you are interested in experiencing Disney dining at it's finest, you may want to dive in and check out THE BOATHOUSE.

Well that's all for tonight folks!
Feel free to leave a comment and share your thoughts on the WDW changes!

Tangled the Musical: Live on Stage!

Hello fellow Disney Freaks!

Exciting news, especially for fans like you!

A stage version of "Tangled" is being added to the Disney Cruise Line stage!

The new show will include all of your favorite characters from Tangled, including specialty puppetry for the role of Maximus created by the renowned Muchael Curry. The show will of course feature your favorite songs and score from the original film, but there will also be new songs from the magical minds of Alan Menken (composer for The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast) and lyricist Glenn Slater. These two worked together on the original track and are now producing the additional songs being added to the stage version! The show opens on November 11, 2015 on the four-night  Bahamian "Disney Magic" Cruise. The Disney Magic will set sail to both the Caribbean and the Bahamas this year leaving port from Miami and will last through the New Year.  I hope some of you get the privilege of seeing the show! It's an experience you won't want to miss!

Well that's all for tonight folks!

Easter is just around the corner and Disneyland has a special celebration waiting for you! Here's a list of a few things you can do at Disneyland to celebrate Easter this year!

For a small fee of $4.95 you can purchase an egg hunting map at select stores inside of Epcot, Disneyland, and Disney California Adventure park! When you've found all of the giant eggs around the park, you mark the correct spot with a sticker and turn it in for a special prize egg! Sounds pretty egg-citing right!?
